A range of five distinctive composts made from Shamrock Irish sphagnum peat supplied by Bord na Mona.

Seed & Modular
Free-flowing propagating compost for seedling and transplant production. A blend of Superfine moss and fine black peat.

Bedding
For bedding crops. Designed for all short-term food and ornamental crops in trays, multi-packs and pots. A blend of medium moss and fine black peat.

Potting
For potting-on a wide range of bedding, pot plant, basket and container crops. 100% selected Medium grade moss peat. Contains slow release nitrogen and feeds for up to six weeks. Controlled release fertilizer inclusion is not recommended.

Pot Plant
For potting-on a wide range of bedding, pot plant, basket and container crops where extra aeration is required. A blend of Medium moss and 6- 12mm peat - ideal for longer term glasshouse crops.

Nursery Stock
For general nursery stock subjects. A blend of Medium moss peat plus two coarse fractions (6-12mm and 10-25mm) for extra drainage and high aeration. Ideal for long-term and outdoor crops. Not suitable for lime- hating species.


 
 

Shamrock Peats

The world's finest Horticultural Peat. A range of six standard grades of coarse- leaved Irish sphagnum peat. Custom blends available for bulk deliveries.

Superfine
Propagating and Amenity grade Sphagnum Peat. For use in propagating compost and amenity applications.

Fine
Bedding grade Sphagnum Peat. For all bedding composts and larger modular containers.

Medium
General-purpose Sphagnum Peat. For potting composts and general- purpose use.

Medium-Extra
Pot Plant grade Sphagnum Peat. For potting, pot plant and hanging basket composts where extra aeration is required.

Medium-Coarse
Nursery Stock grade Sphagnum Peat. For Nursery Stock composts, especially for outdoor crops where extra drainage is required.

Coarse
Container grade Sphagnum Peat. For container composts and very long- term crops. Gives maximum aeration and drainage.
