Alty’s Builders Merchant celebrated the one year anniversary of its Chorley branch on Wednesday 1st February 2017.
Local trades people were invited to come visit the branch on Leigh Street, Chorley and enjoy a complimentary bacon or sausage sandwich and a cup of tea. The builders merchant also launched a range of special offers throughout the month to celebrate.
The Chorley branch, which cost in excess of £1m to build, is located next to ASDA on Bolton Street. It is the second builder’s merchant branch for the family-owned business. The new branch has already created new jobs for six local people and this figure is set to rise as sales increase.
Stephen Gautrey, Managing Director of Henry Alty, said:
“We’re delighted with the success of our Chorley branch so far and looking forward to further growth and welcoming more new customers in our second year of trading.
“Alty’s are a member of national buying group H&B which means that we can offer our customers competitive prices on a large product range. We’re regarded as a one-stop shop by many in the building trade and encourage local trades people to call in and compare our prices to their current suppliers.”
The 1.5 acre site includes a large shop stocked with building and DIY products from leading brands such as Celotex, Knauf, Bradstone, Everbuild and Brett Martin. Loose aggregates, bricks, landscaping and timber products are available in the dedicated yard and warehouse facility. Alty’s also have timber cutting facilities on site and a fleet of tipper and crane off-loading vehicles for deliveries across the North West.
Henry Alty Limited celebrates 140 years trading this year.
